The Director of Community Development of West Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Agung Tri Widiantoro attends the opening of Persami and joins the forest rehabilitation activity by planting mangrove trees with the provincial Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. Located at the Panorama Rangas Beach, Mamuju Regency, the tree seed plantation was part of the activity that was held simultaneously across Indonesia with the theme of “United with Nature, Rehabilitate Forest and Wetland Areas”. “We truly appreciate this activity because other than beneficial for the coastal area ecosystem, the trees will also guard the locals from abrasion,” says Agung. Furthermore, Agung also joined in providing food aid to the local community after planting the mangrove trees with the Scout groups and locals. “We pray that the mangrove plantation could rehabilitate and preserve the ecosystem in preventing global warming and abrasion in coastal areas,” says Agung.
