inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Regional Police estimated losses of up to around IDR 28 billion due to the riots on Friday (8/29/2025) and Saturday (8/30/2025) which resulted in damage to a number of public service facilities within the vicinity of the police HQ.

"The total loss of State Property (BMN) assets of the Yogyakarta Regional Police  in the form of buildings and equipment is around IDR 28 billion," said the Head of Public Relations of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ihsan, Monday (9/15/2025).

He said the damage caused by the riots included the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT), the Police Record Certificate (SKCK) service, and a number of other service rooms at the police headquarters.

Although initially disrupted, public services have now gradually returned to normal. Ihsan emphasized that accelerated repairs to facilities and infrastructure are currently being carried out so that all services can return to optimal operation.

"The damage that occurred did disrupt operational services to the public, but this has made us even more enthusiastic to immediately rise stronger," he said.

With this accelerated step, Ihsan emphasized that the Yogyakarta Regional Police are committed to providing a sense of security and comfort for the public who need police services.

"In fact, this is a momentum for us to be better, improve ourselves, and ensure that the public continues to receive the best service," concluded Ihsan.
