1,000 Personnel Deployed to Maintain Security Situations in North Sumatra During Presidential Inauguration

inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police prepares 1,000 personnel for the Presidential and Vice Presidential Inauguration on October 20th, 2024.

The elected President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated and take their oaths as the number one and two person in Indonesia at Nusantara Building, Senayan Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Sunday (10/20/2024).

“Approximately 1,000 police personnel equipped with operational vehicles will be deployed to ensure the security situation in North Sumatra,” says the Head of North Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi on Saturday (10/19/2024).

Hadi adds that the deployment of the personnel aimed to secure public activities,particularly in securing the public celebration that may occur.

"To enhance our effectiveness in monitoring, the North Sumatra Police also uses the SOT application which allows easy monitoring of personnel attendance," he added.

In addition, the North Sumatra Regional Police Cyber ​​Directorate is conducting cyber patrols to maintain cyber security before, during, and after the inauguration of the president and vice president.

Each Sub-regional police in the North Sumatra also plays an active role in monitoring developments in the situation from their respective posts and will report the situation continuously.

"With the various proactive steps that have been prepared, the North Sumatra Regional Police are confident that they can maintain the security and public order situation," he said.
