Inp.polri.go.id – Nagan Raya. The Drug Criminal Investigation of Aceh Regional Police has successfully thwarted the smuggling of 300 kg weeds. In the uncovering of the case, police has secured a suspect with the initials of AM (35) in Beutong Ateuh, Nagan Raya Regency, on Wednesday (4/24/2024) night.

The Head of Aceh Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Joko Krisdiyanto explains that the case investigation begins with the information from the public regarding the weed transaction in the location.

“After we launched the investigation, our member saw the suspect who was then selling the weeds. Because of his suspicious movement, police approached AM and arrested him immediately,” said Joko on Thursday (5/2/2024).

Following suspect examination, police find out that AM has stored the weed inside sacks which he hid in bushes at the foot hill. AM also revealed that the weed is owned by a man with the initials of MK alias Pawang. AM was only instructed by Pawang to sell the weed for IDR 50,000 per kilogram.

Currently, the suspect, along with 13 sacks containing a total 132 packages of weed weighing 300 kilogram, and a motorcycle unit have been secured by the police.
