Inp.polri.go.id – Tanjung Balai. The North Sumatra Regional Police have successfully secured 117 kilogram of weed from a motor rickshaw in Tanjung Balai City. Suspect immediately ran away after being discovered.
“Our team is now pursuing the suspect after we identify him,” said the North Sumatra Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi on Thursday (5/2/2024).
Hadi says that the arrest was conducted on Saturday (4/27/2024) at around 04.30 am. At first, police was told that the suspect is moving the drugs with a motor rickshaw in Nibung Teluk,
After acquiring the intel, police immediately searched the suspect and found him. However, when he was about to be arrested, he retaliated and ran away to a small tunnel.
“Personnel tried to catch him, but they couldn't find him,” reports Hadi.
After failing to catch the suspect, police then checked the motor rickshaw and found dozens of meth packages with a total weight of 117 kilogram and 20 packages of ecstasy pills.
“We then moved the evidence to our HQ,” concluded Hadi.
