Inp.polri.go.id - Mana.  As many as 327 evacuees from the eruption of Mount Ruang arrived in Bitung aboard KRI Kakap-811 on Saturday evening (20/4/2024).

Assistant Operations to the Manadao Naval Air Base Commander, Colonel Mohamad Noordin Mutaqien, said that the evacuees, including 192 women and 135 men, were transported by the Navy team. 

Among them were two evacuees severely ill with stroke and bleeding.  Healthcare teams from the Navy and Bitung administration were prepared to assist, according to antaranews.com.

The Navy has transported 527 evacuees, with 195 on Thursday, five on Friday, and 327 on Saturday. 

One refugee, Sulce Derek, temporarily sought refuge in Tandurusa Bitung with seven family members due to damage to their home in Bahoy Tagulandang Village.
