467,300 Vehicles Return to Greater Jakarta After Christmas Holidays

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  PT Jasa Marga recorded that 467,300 vehicles returned to Greater Jakarta during the Christmas holidays from Thursday to Saturday, marking a 12.9% increase from normal traffic levels of 413,831 vehicles.

Traffic returned through four main toll gates: Cikupa (from Merak), Ciawi (from Puncak), Cikampek Utama (from Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama (from Bandung). The largest share, 46.9% or 219,138 vehicles, came from the east (Trans Java and Bandung). Meanwhile, 29.2% (136,479 vehicles) came from the west (Merak), and 23.9% (111,683 vehicles) from the south (Puncak).

Significant increases were noted from the east, with 106,097 vehicles passing Cikampek Utama (32.7% rise) and 113,041 vehicles through Kalihurip Utama (23.4% rise).

Corporate Communications Head Lisye Octaviana predicted Sunday (29/12/2024), as the peak of the return flow and urged drivers to avoid peak hours.
