Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar.  Ngurah Rai International Airport has introduced a new low-cost carrier on its Incheon-Bali-Incheon route. Jeju Air, South Korea's largest budget airline, landed its inaugural flight on Sunday night, marking the addition of affordable travel options for South Korean tourists.

General Manager Ahmad Syaugi Shahab highlighted on Monday (28/10/2024) the high demand for travel from South Korea, noting that post-pandemic Korean tourists rank among the top 10 visitor groups to Bali.

Jeju Air’s one-way tickets, priced around Rp 2 million, provide direct, non-stop flights between Incheon and Bali, catering to this strong demand, according to antaranews.com.

In 2023, South Korean arrivals through Ngurah Rai reached 236,030, making it the seventh-highest foreign visitor group. As of the third quarter of 2024, South Korean arrivals have climbed to fifth place, totaling 220,033 visitors.

Jeju Air operates a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which first arrived with 178 passengers, greeted by a Balinese water salute and traditional dance. Ngurah Rai now serves 39 international routes across 19 countries with 41 airlines.
