inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura Kota. The Operation Team of Jayapura Sub-regional City Police have successfully arrested a suspect of marijuana drug dealer in Imbi Park Area, Jayapura City on Tuesday (11/19/2024).

The Jayapura Sub-regional City Police Drug Criminal Investigation Head, Police Senior Inspector Febry V. Pardede confirms his party has arrested a foreigner with the initials of KP (40) from Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Febry explains that KP was apprehended at his car after stopping at Imbi Park Area.

“From our investigation at the field, the suspect was carrying Marijuana,” says Febry.

Febry also explained that, when secured, the evidence of 85 packages packed in clear plastic suspected of containing marijuana narcotics were found under the control of KP along with 2 large clear plastics and 7 brown tapes in a black bag labeled sport fashion bag that he was carrying.

"Now the alleged perpetrator, along with evidence of marijuana narcotics, has been secured at the Jayapura Sub-regional City Police Headquarters for further investigation and inquiry by Investigators," explained Febry.

The Head of the Drug Criminal Investigation Unit also added that his party will always do their best to prevent the circulation of narcotics in Jayapura City.
