Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has named Muhammad Syafei, the Head of Social Security & License at PT Wilmar Group, as a new suspect in the bribery case linked to the corruption ruling on the export of crude palm oil (CPO) at the Central Jakarta District Court.
"Based on witness statements and documents obtained two days ago, investigators have concluded that sufficient evidence exists, leading to the designation of MSY as a suspect," said Abdul Qohar, the Director of Investigation at the AGO's Special Crimes Directorate , during a press conference on Tuesday (15/4/2025).
Syafei is accused of providing a bribe of Rp 60 billion, requested by Muhammad Arif Nuryanta, then Deputy Head of Central Jakarta District Court, through intermediary Wahyu Gunawan, a court clerk at the North Jakarta District Court.
The case now involves eight suspects, including seven previously named ones.
