Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has seized nearly Rp 1 trillion (around USD 58 million) in cash and assets linked to former Supreme Court official Zarof Ricar (ZR), who is suspected of involvement in bribery connected to Ronald Tannur’s acquittal.

AGO’s Director of Special Crimes Investigation Abdul Qohar said on Friday (25/10/2024) that his investigators searched ZR’s residence in Senayan, Jakarta, and his hotel room in Bali, finding significant amounts in various currencies: Rp 5.7 billion, 74.5 million Singapore dollars, USD 1.9 million, 483,000 Hong Kong dollars, and 71,200 euros, totaling around Rp 921 billion.

The investigators also recovered approximately 51 kilograms of gold bars, valued at Rp 75 billion.

ZR was arrested in Bali on Thursday and brought to Jakarta for further questioning, according to antaranews.com.

He allegedly received bribes from Ronald’s attorney, identified asLR, to sway the appeal decision in his favor. Both ZR and LR are charged under Indonesia’s anti-corruption laws. ZR is currently detained, while LR remains in custody on related charges.
