“With the changes in the certificate document, from the conventional to digital, we guarantee that we will give legal certainty to the people,” said the Secretary General of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Ministry, Suyus Windayana, on Thursday (7/18/24).

When giving his remarks during the launch of West Papua National Land Agency (BPN) digital service in Manokwari, Suyus conveyed that the digital certificate data is stored in another storage other than the local BPN office. This is to anticipate disasters or incidents that may occur.

On the other hand, security in digital space is also stored in data blocks with blockchain features. With this feature, data will continue to get updated whenever there are changes.

Furthermore, the owner of the digital certificate will also have the certificate that is stored in the app of Sentuh Tanahku. Every data change will be notified through the app.

“With this digital transformation, we don’t have to worry about the document being damaged as the data is well stored in several places. Several security measures have also been taken to tighten data security,” explained Suyus.

In his statement, he explains that until July, there are already 150,000 digital certificates that have been distributed from 189 Regional/City BPN that have implemented the digital service.
