inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps says there will be changes in the appearance of the new driver’s license. The change is to meet the standard of International driver’s license.

“There will be a picture of a car and motorcycle beside the letter that classifies the driver’s license. Then, the number of driver’s licenses will be changed into ID card numbers because we are now using a single data center,” said the Director of Registration and Identification of INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus on Friday (7/19/2024).

Moreover, the changes are to ease Indonesians in applying for international driver’s licenses as the old model mostly confuses the foreign officials.

Yusri Yunus says that the format change implementation will adjust until the old models expire.

“It is supposed to be from July 1st, but we are waiting until the old models are expired,” explains Yusri Yunus.
