"This fire only involved one subsection of the Public Relations Bureau, and the documents affected were mostly administrative documents, not important documents such as land certificates or documents related to land disputes," said Harrison on Monday (2/10/2025).

The fire that occurred on Saturday (2/8/2025) at around 23.00 WIB on the 1st floor of the ATR/BPN building, precisely in the Public Information Services and Public Complaints Management Subsection, only caused damage to around 20 percent of the area of ​​the room.

He said that although some administrative documents were affected, documents related to land disputes or important land certificates were not at the location.

He also emphasized that technical documents related to land are usually stored in the respective Land Offices, not in the Public Relations Bureau room.

Furthermore, the fire was successfully isolated and extinguished thanks to the quick work of the fire fighters and the ranks of the South Jakarta City Government, which prevented the fire from spreading to other areas.

He also hopes that the results of further investigations by the authorities can provide deeper clarification regarding the cause of this fire.
