inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Patrige R Renwarin inspects the security preparation ahead of Regional Head Election in Papua Province by visiting Papua General Election Commission (KPU) Office.

Patrige says that the visit was to ensuring that all security aspects is ready to face the looming Regional Head Election in the province.

During his visit, he conveyed the importance of cooperation between security officials and election organizers to ensure safe, orderly, and conducive elections.

“We have prepared our personnel that will be stationed in strategic locations, including in regions prone to conflicts,” says Patrige.

He appeals to the public to join his party in maintaining order and not to be provoked by issues that divide the community.

“We hope that the people of Papua can cast their right to vote with peace, without any pressure or threat from anyone,” adds Patrige.

On the other hand, the Secretary of Papua KPU, Ryllo Ashuri Panay assured Patrige that his party also prepared to hold the election in the province accordingly.

“We are working together with security officials and many related stakeholders to ensure that the election goes smoothly and according to the applicable regulations,” says Ryllo.

Ryllo wished that the election would go smoothly, peacefully, and with all public elements working together in making sure that the event ends in a success.
