Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono announced on Thursday (19/9/2024) that the anti land mafia "Gebuk Mafia Tanah" operation has saved Rp 6 trillion in potential losses as of mid-September 2024.

"To date, we've managed to prevent about Rp6 trillion in losses, impacting both the state and the public," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com..

The largest recovery, Rp 3.4 trillion, occurred in Grobogan, Central Java. Minister Agus  noted that land mafia schemes are widespread, but their scale varies across regions.

He also pointed out how land mafias have hindered investment, particularly in Grobogan, where forged documents stopped major investments that could have created jobs.

Minister Agus emphasized ongoing efforts to combat land mafias, involving close collaboration with the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Attorney General's Office, and other stakeholders. He also pledged to address any internal collusion within the ministry.
