Inp.polri.go.id - Depok. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo praised the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) for its expanding role in national development as the unit marks its 80th anniversary.
Speaking at the commemorative ceremony in Depok, West Java on Friday (14/11/2025), he highlighted Brimob’s contribution to key government priority programs, particularly food security.
“The INP is targeting the cultivation of one million hectares of agricultural land, and I thank Brimob for working directly in the field to make it happen,” Chief Sigit said, as cited by antaranews.com.
He also praised Brimob’s involvement in distributing rice under the government’s Stabilisasi Pasokan dan Harga Pangan (SPHP) program, which has helped maintain stable prices and regional supply. In addition, Brimob supports the development of the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) as part of the national Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) initiative.
According to the INP Chief, Brimob’s work demonstrates that its role now extends beyond tactical operations to strengthening community welfare and supporting long-term national development.
