"Public security is our main priority. Do not let the public facilities that came from people's taxes to be treated selfishly that hurt the general public," said the Chief of Kabaharkam, Commissioner General Drs. Arief Sulistyanto, M.Sc., after inspecting the ship and crew of the KP Kresna-7004 ship in Labuan Bajo, Thursday (5/4). KP Kresna-7004 is a ship belonging to Baharkam Polri specially provided for Labuan Bajo to secure the territorial waters of the NTT Police and the Labuan Bajo DPSP. Kabaharkam Polri said that Labuan Bajo, especially the Komodo National Park, is a world tourist destination that must be maintained and secured. So, all crew members must uphold professionalism and give the best service to the community for securing premium tourism destinations in Labuan Bajo. Kabaharkam Polri requested that ship commanders can provide guidance, supervision and motivation for all ship personnel and build synergies with all components of society to maintain public safety and security in the area. They must prevent all crimes that exist in the waters of Labuan Bajo and enforce the law on anything that threaten the community activities in Labuan Bajo. According to him, crimes that occur in the waters will harm the local community and damage the marine environment. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the security and a cooperation is necessary within the community. Not only to secure the waters of NTT, the ship was also to support the G20 side event in Labuan Bajo. "This is a noble task. I hope that the ship is well cared for because this facility is a means to save the community," said Kabaharkam Polri reminding the crew of KP Kresna-7004. On that occasion, the Kabaharkam Polri also emphasized the compliance of health protocols in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
