Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar.  The Bali Prosecutor's Office confirmed the arrest of a former Supreme Court official, identified as ZR, in Jimbaran, Bali, on Thursday, linked to the acquittal of Gregorius Ronald Tanur in a murder case.

"There was indeed a team from the Attorney General's Office that detained a person with the initials ZR in Jimbaran," Putu Agus Eka Sabana Putra, the Head of Legal Information at the Bali Prosecutor's Office, on Friday (25/10/2024)

Four officials from the Attorney General's Office were in charge of the arrest.  Suspect ZR was taken to the Bali Prosecutor's Office in Renon for initial questioning, which lasted into the evening. 

On Friday morning, ZR was transferred to Jakarta for further processing, according to antaranews.com.

Eka Sabana did not disclose details about the questioning or the case specifics, emphasizing that the matter falls under the Attorney General's jurisdiction.

On Wednesday, the Attorney General's Office named three judges from the Surabaya District Court who acquitted Ronald Tanur as suspects in a bribery case, and his attorney, identified as LR.
