Although specific tourist contracting dengue data is unavailable, Bali recorded 4,177 cases and five deaths from January to April this year
A tourist from Australia recently contracted dengue in Ubud, Gianyar, a high-risk area along with Denpasar and Badung due to increased activity, particularly during the rainy season.
The Bali Health department emphasized ongoing prevention efforts, including community participation in mosquito control. Education on mosquito bite prevention, such as using repellents, is also provided.
