Bandung Police Confirm Hana Bank Vandalized and Set on Fire

Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Bandung City Sub-regional Police confirmed on Saturday (22/3/2025)  that Hana Bank’s branch on Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Dago, was vandalized and set ablaze during a protest against the passing of military bill into law near the West Java Legislative Council (DPRD) building.

Bandung Police Chief Senior Superintendent Budi Sartono said that officers were securing the demonstration when they received reports of the attack. 

“It is true that Hana Bank in Dago was vandalized and set on fire by a group of people,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The police have secured CCTV footage and questioned witnesses to identify those responsible. The crime scene has been sealed off, and forensic teams are investigating to determine the exact sequence of events.

Firefighters dispatched five units to extinguish the blaze, which was reported at 1.02 am. and fully contained by 3.30 am.
