inp.polri.go.id - Banten. Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hengki accompanied Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Mangrove Ecosystem Protection and Management event held at the Ketapang Mangrove Park in Ketapang Village, Mauk District, Tangerang Regency, on Monday (10/27/2025).

This event demonstrated the government's commitment to protecting coastal ecosystems and improving community welfare through mangrove forest conservation. In addition to the planting activity, free health checks were also provided for the surrounding community, demonstrating social responsibility for coastal communities.

This mangrove planting activity is an effort to restore hundreds of thousands of hectares of mangrove areas that have been converted.

On this occasion, the Banten Regional Police Chief stated that this activity was not merely symbolic, but also a form of shared commitment to preserving nature for future generations.

"This mangrove planting has profound meaning. In addition to protecting the coastal ecosystem, we are also planting hope for the future of our children and grandchildren. We are committed to supporting all government programs in environmental conservation, because security and environmental sustainability go hand in hand," said Hengki.

Furthermore, he added that his police are ready to fully support various environmental conservation programs initiated by the government, both through security approaches and community empowerment.

"We are committed to maintaining security and supporting the preservation of the mangrove ecosystem. We also continue to educate the public to care more about the environment because environmental sustainability is an investment for the future," he added.

In closing, Hengki hoped that activities like this would inspire people to preserve and nurture nature.
