Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Jakarta calls for political parties to uninstall their campaign props in the forbidden area. The calls came after a traffic accident in Mampang, South Jakarta, where political parties banners hinder the sight of an elderly on Wednesday (1/17/2024). "We implore the political parties who put their banners in the forbidden are to uninstall them themselves," says Bawaslu Coordinator of Violation Handling Division, Benny Sabdo on Thursday (1/18/2024). He explains that Jakarta Bawaslu have coordinated with the police regarding the issue. Benny admits that he was saddened by the accident caused by the election props. Benny hopes that political parties have the self-awareness to unistall their props which are also considered sore to the eye of many people.. "The city aesthetic has to be maintained in demonstrating democracy in Jakarta," says Benny. (ad/ay/hn/nm)
