inp.polri.go.id - Aceh. Aceh Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah, MM, received an audience with the Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) in Banda Aceh, Riyanto, and his staff, in the Aceh Police Chief's office.

During the meeting, the Aceh Police and BBPOM agreed to strengthen synergy in monitoring the safety of drugs and food circulating in the community, as a form of protection for public health.

On this occasion, he emphasized the importance of cross-agency cooperation in facing the challenges of supervision in the field, especially amidst the rampant circulation of products without distribution permits and illegal cosmetics.

He further emphasized that strong supervision is not only about law enforcement, but a real form of concern for public safety.

"Food and drug safety is part of national security. When people feel safe consuming their foods and medicines, their health and productivity can be guaranteed," he said on Tuesday (10/7/2025).

Through this collaboration, the Aceh Regional Police further affirms its commitment to remain present in the community, not only as law enforcers, but also as protectors and guardians, ensuring that every product consumed by the people is safe, healthy, and fit for distribution.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Aceh Food and Drug Agency (BBPOM), Riyanto, expressed his appreciation for the Aceh Regional Police's support in various joint monitoring activities.

He hopes this collaboration can be further enhanced through integrated operations, information exchange, and education for the public and businesses.
