Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and AirNav Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the prevention and eradication of drug trafficking within the aviation sector.
“In June alone, we intercepted multiple smuggling attempts via air routes. When we tighten land and sea pathways, traffickers shift to aviation. That’s why this partnership with AirNav is vital—not just to block drugs, but to ensure aviation personnel remain drug-free and capable of sound decision-making,” said BNN Chief Commissioner General Marthinus Hukom on Friday (27/6/2025.
The agreement includes joint education campaigns, legal enforcement, intelligence sharing, and workplace drug testing.
The MoU also enables BNN and AirNav to conduct cross-sector training and monitoring programs at all provincial units, aiming to build a safe and drug-free aviation environment.
