Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) raided an illicit drug laboratory producing narcotics-infused vape liquid and so-called “happy water” at an apartment complex in Ancol, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (6/1/2026), uncovering a network involving Malaysian and Chinese nationals.
“We found a site used to mix liquid narcotics and inject them into vape liquid and happy water,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement at BNN, Budi Wibowo.
The operation began during a Christmas and New Year security check at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, where officers arrested two Malaysian citizens carrying MDMA and etomidate. The case was expanded to other areas in North Jakarta, leading to the arrest of two Indonesian suspects and the discovery of the apartment lab and a warehouse in Pademangan.
Investigators identified Chinese citizens as the alleged cook, controller, and financier of the operation, who are now on the wanted list. Authorities seized narcotics materials, ready-to-distribute vape cartridges, thousands of empty cartridges, and mixing equipment. All suspects are charged under the Narcotics Law.
