The average price of the item is IDR 27,838 per kilogram, while the price of shallots in the previous month was IDR 28,112 per kilogram.
“The shallots price for the third week of September 2024 is going down compared to August,” says the Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at BPS, Pudji Ismartini on Monday (9/23/2024).
Pudji says that the national price of the shallots is decreasing by 1.57 percent compared to August. The Government Reference Price (HAP) for this commodity ranges from IDR 25 thousand to IDR 30,000 per kilogram.
Furthermore, Pudji says that the decline in price is occurring in 45.28 percent of Indonesia. While several regions experiencing shallots price increase are recorded in 163 regencies and cities.
At the end of her statement, she says the shallots price control must be carried out continuously, so that the price remains affordable and fair for the community and farmers alike.
