Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commissioner General M. Fadil Imran, the Indonesian National Police (INP) Head of Security Maintenance Agency, has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Central Board of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PP PBSI) for 2024-2028.
His appointment was confirmed at the PBSI National Congress in Surabaya on Saturday (10/8/2024). Chief Fadil, the only candidate, received support from 34 out of 38 Provincial PBSI Boards, succeeding Agung Firman Sampurna.
In his speech, he called for collective effort to enhance Indonesia’s badminton achievements.
"I urge everyone to work together to improve and reach the highest levels in global badminton," Chief Fadil said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
His vision is to make badminton a source of national pride. His mission includes revamping athlete development, optimizing management and industry innovation, and boosting community engagement.
Chief Fadil will be supported by a formation team including Alex Tirta (Jakarta), Yudanegara (Yogyakarta), Suharto (Bengkulu), and Tonny Wahyudi (East Java), who have one month to finalize the new board.
