Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Starting Thursday, China allows Indonesian citizens a 10-day (240-hour) visa-free transit stay via 60 ports across 24 provinces, according to China’s National Immigration Administration.

Indonesia becomes the 55th country eligible for this policy, aimed at boosting international travel and exchanges. Travelers must continue to a third country after their stay.

Indonesia’s Ambassador to China, Djauhari Oratmangun, welcomed the move, noting it was first conveyed by Chinese Premier Li Qiang during his bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta.

“This policy strengthens people-to-people connections, especially in tourism,” Djauhari stated.

Earlier, China also introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for business travelers from 10 ASEAN countries and Timor Leste, valid for applicants’ spouses and children with a stay of up to 180 days per visit.

The new visa rules signal China's commitment to deepening regional ties and facilitating greater mobility within Asia.
