inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia appreciates the decision of the National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., deactivated Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo due to an alleged shootout between his aides. According to a member of Commission III of the DPR RI, H. Santoso, S.H., M.H., the deactivation of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, as the Head of the Propam Police Division, is to avoid conflicts of interest between investigators and the Propam Polri. "I appreciate the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit for the deactivation of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as the Head of the National Police Propam Division. With this, there will be no conflict of interest between investigators and the National Police Propam Division," told Santoso, Tuesday (19/7/2022). Santoso hopes that the National Police Chief's decision will speed up the process of investigating the shootout case, at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's official residence, professionally and transparently to the public. On the other hand, regarding the reporting by Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat's attorney for the alleged premeditated murder case of his client, Santoso asked the Police not to intimidate the victim's family. "Because such methods will only tarnish the Police institution in the eyes of the people. All Police members must respect this investigation process," he concluded.
