Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. A tronton truck collided with several vehicles in Tangerang on Thursday (31/10/2024), leaving at least 10 people injured and prompting police confirmation of an attempted escape by the driver.

Tangerang City Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Zain Dwi Nugroho said that the collision involved three motorcycles and one taxi, with three victims currently receiving treatment at EMC Hospital. 

"So far, there are three confirmed injured individuals receiving care at EMC Hospital, and several vehicles damaged," he said

The authorities are identifying the victims, so their details remain undisclosed.

The truck driver, who allegedly ignored traffic rules and failed to stop when residents attempted to intervene, is now at a hospital emergency room after being mobbed by bystanders during his escape attempt.
