Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto stressed that victims of drug abuse should receive rehabilitation as mandated by law to tackle overcrowding in prisons.
During a visit to the Cipinang Penitentiary in East Jakarta on Tuesday (29/10/2024), he stated, “We need to collaborate so that only those involved in drug trafficking are held accountable, while genuine victims get the rehabilitation they deserve.”

The minister, the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Commissioner General Marthinus Hukom and other officials, discussed potential solutions to the challenges faced by drug offenders in overcrowded facilities.
They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among key stakeholders, particularly BNN and law enforcement, to effectively combat drug-related crimes.
