Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police prepares to secure the international event of FIFA U-17 World Cup which one of the stadiums used in the match would be in Jakarta. The Deputy of Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Suyudi Ario Seto in his remarks in a rally he led highlights several issues that needs to be anticipated. “First is crowding in stadium entrance gate. Second, is traffic congestion, violation, and accident,” says Ario. The other issues that Ario highlight is those involving supporter, such as clashes and carrying dangerous items such as fireworks and flare. Other important matter involving supporters are also the potentials of them attacking match officials or players. Other issues are the threat of terrorist activities such as suicide bombing and assault against state security apparatus. Ario also asked his personnel to be more aware with conventional crimes such as thuggery, while also warned other issues such as sabotage that could hinder the U-17 World Cup. Last threat potential are the contingency events and natural disasters. In maintaining public trust, police has optimized their security operations to its fullest. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
