inp.polri.go.id - Banjar. The Food Task Force of the South Kalimantan Regional Police inspects the size and price of MinyaKita in a warehouse at Gambut District, Banjar Regency on Wednesday (3/19/2025).

The inspection was to ensure the price stability of the product during the holy month of Ramadan.

Led by the Head Unit of Sub-directorate 1 of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Senior Inspector Hotman Mangasi Purba, the inspection was a follow up to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief direction to ensure that the product is according to the applicable standard.

“We want to ensure that the cooking oils that are sold in the market are according to the product standard. Moreover, we also monitor its prices to remain balanced in the holy month of Ramadan,” says Hotman.

The police inspection on the cooking oil product shows that Minyakita in the warehouse have met the standards and are sold at the highest retail price (HET) set by the government, which is IDR 15,700.

Hotman also said that the South Kalimantan Police Food Task Force will continue to monitor and supervise various distribution points to ensure that no violations occur.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and report if they find practices of hoarding or selling cooking oil at unreasonable prices. The South Kalimantan Regional Police Food Task Force will continue to coordinate with various parties to maintain the stability of food prices during the month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
