Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Former president Joko “Jokowi” Widodo filed on Wednesday (30/4/2025) a report at the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding allegations of a fake diploma.
The case is being handled by the National Security Sub-Directorate of the Criminal Investigation Directorate.
Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi confirmed that former president Jokowi had been questioned and that investigators had asked him 35 questions as part of the case investigation.
The former president explained that despite initially considering the issue resolved during his presidency, the matter had persisted and needed to be legally clarified, according to antaranews.com.
Former president Jokowi urged the matter be legally processed to ensure transparency. He emphasized that the issue should be resolved through proper legal channels for clarity.
The investigation is ongoing as part of the effort to address the allegations.
