Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan confirmed on Monday (2/12/2024) that food supplies and prices in Indonesia are secure as the year-end holiday season approaches.
“Bulog has nearly two million tons of rice in stock, and over eight million tons are circulating in the market. There’s no need to worry; supplies are sufficient, and prices are stable,” he said, referring to the State Logistics Agency..
Minister Zulkifli added that large-scale market operations for food distribution would begin in January 2025, aligning with the government's food aid programs. He also reiterated the government’s goal to end rice imports by 2025, reflecting growing confidence in domestic production.
