Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Social Affairs has ruled that civil servants, military and police personnel, state officials, and employees of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and regional SOEs, along with their families, are ineligible for social aid, known locally as bansos.
During a press briefing in Jakarta on Monday (15/9/2025), Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf stressed that data verification would continue to ensure aid only reaches poor and vulnerable households.
“If it’s true they have been receiving aid, they will no longer be eligible,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The ministry is also removing recipients found to have misused funds, including for online gambling. However, those whose accounts were flagged but may have been misused by others are given a chance to re-verify.
To address technical barriers, such as families lacking bank accounts, the ministry has introduced collective account schemes. The policy is based on Ministerial Decree No. 79/2025 and Regulation No. 3/2025 on the National Socio-Economic Single Data system.
