Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs ( has issued a third warning letter to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) for failing to pay fines imposed after neglecting to remove pornographic content in a timely manner.
“The fine has been updated to Rp 78,125,000 as an accumulated penalty from the second and third warnings, in accordance with prevailing regulations,” said Alexander Sabar, the Director General for Digital Space Supervision, on Monday (13/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The fine remains enforceable under Government Regulation No. 43/2023 on Non-Tax State Revenue and Ministerial Decree No. 522/2024 on the Content Moderation Compliance System.
Alexander urged X to appoint an official representative in Indonesia to handle moderation requests and coordinate compliance.
“Administrative duties such as fine payments and appointing a liaison are essential to ensure a safe and accountable digital ecosystem,” he added.
