Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government will grant a 50% electricity tariff discount for households with power capacity under 1,300 VA during June and July 2025, targeting 79.3 million families as part of a national economic stimulus package.

“This stimulus is expected to boost economic growth in the second quarter. We’re leveraging this momentum to launch programs that can drive consumption,” said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto on Saturday (24/5/2025) following a Cabinet coordination meeting, as reported by antaranews.com

Alongside the electricity discount, five additional incentives are being prepared: transportation fare discounts (rail, air, and sea), toll road tariff reductions for an estimated 110 million drivers, expanded food assistance for 18.3 million low-income families, wage subsidies for workers earning below minimum wage and contract teachers, and extended discounts on work accident insurance (JKK) for labor-intensive sectors.

The stimulus package is set to launch on 5 June 2025. The government is also urging local administrations to boost domestic tourism and entertainment to sustain economic momentum.
