inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of Presidential Communications of the Republic of Indonesia, Hasan Nasbi, revealed that the Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Supreme Coordination Council (DKT) is preparing to build a Hajj Village in the Holy Land.
However, the technical implementation is still pending the completion of the Hajj Law and the construction scheme.
"What is clear is that the umbrella for cooperation is already in place, we are just waiting for the Hajj Law and other details," he said, as reported by RRI, Wednesday (7/16/2025).
He also stated that the establishment of the implementing agency for the Hajj Village development is still awaiting confirmation. This is because in 2026, the Hajj pilgrimage will no longer be managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, but by the Hajj Organizing Agency (BAP).
Meanwhile, various schemes are being prepared as alternatives for implementing the project. "There are schemes for building from scratch, purchasing existing buildings, or long-term contracts," he explained.
According to him, further clarification will be provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs or the BAP. The law regarding the implementation of the Hajj is currently being finalized in the House of Representatives (DPR).
