inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A man became the victim of a brutal assault by a group of teenagers in Majalengka Regency on Saturday (7/12/2025) night. The assailants were said to be using sharp weapons when attacking the victim, causing the victim to suffer serious injury and require intensive medical attention.

The Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan explains that the incident began when the group suddenly approached and attacked the victim suddenly with their weapons.

“Members of Majalengka Sub-regional Police who were on a patrol received a report from the public and immediately went to the location. In less than 24 hours after the incident, several perpetrators were apprehended along with evidence of the sharp weapons used in the attack," said Hendra in his statement on Sunday (7/13/2025).

Three teenagers with the initials R, AM, and Ms are currently being examined by the police. In addition to the sharp weapons, police also seized a four-wheeled vehicle suspected of being used in the attack.

"The three are being charged under Article 351 in conjunction with Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning collective violence resulting in serious injury, which carries a maximum sentence of nine years in prison," stated the Head of Public Relations.

Meanwhile, the victim of the assault remains hospitalized and under close medical supervision. The police have also urged the public not to take the law into their own hands and to refer all disputes to law enforcement.

This case adds to the long list of violent acts involving juveniles. The police have confirmed that they will take firm action against any criminal acts that disturb the public.
