Headless Body Executor Identified as Victim's Close Friend: Metro Jaya Police

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police revealed on Thursday (31/10/2024) that the executor of a headless female body found in Muara Baru, North Jakarta, on Tuesday is a close friend of the victim. 

The suspect, identified as FF (43), was arrested at his home in Penjaringan on the same day.

"FF, who is a private employee, attacked officers during his arrest, prompting law enforcement to take action," said Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Metro Jaya investigators suspect that FF, who also works as a butcher. used a knife to decapitate the victim After the murder, her body was disposed of in the sea, while the head was found 600 meters away from the initial discovery site.

The victim has been identified as SH (40) based on forensic evidence from the Metro Jaya Police and Kramat Jati Indonesian National Police Hospital. The victim resided in Curug, Tangerang. 

The police are currently investigating the motive behind the crime.
