The BPBD Jakarta confirmed that rainfall with moderate to heavy intensity caused water levels to rise at several monitoring points, including Bendung Katulampa and Pos Pantau Depok, triggering a status alert of Siaga 2 at 6pm, according to antaranews.com.
In West Jakarta, flooding affected 22 neighbourhood units, with water levels ranging from 30 to 100 cm. In North Jakarta, three neighbourhood units were impacted, and 38 residents were evacuated to a shelter. One neighbourhood unit in Central Jakarta also experienced flooding, which has since subsided.
The rain also caused flooding on 20 major roads, with significant disruptions on streets like Jl. Kamal Raya and Jl. Pluit Dalam. The BPBD Jakarta has deployed its officers to monitor and manage the situation, coordinating with relevant agencies for flood mitigation.
