inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Social Affairs distributed IDR 3 million per family in temporary housing and permanent housing assistance will target more than 171,000 disaster victims in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf stated that the assistance is being provided in line with the ongoing data collection process for affected victims, which is being continuously updated by the central government and local governments.

In addition to housing assistance, the Ministry of Social Affairs is also distributing livelihood assistance to meet basic community needs during the recovery period.

"The livelihood assistance is in the form of food allowances worth IDR 450,000 per person per month for three months, targeting more than 500,000 people affected by the disaster in the three provinces," said the Minister of Social Affairs on Tuesday (1/27/2026).

He explained that his ministry is also providing economic support to affected families who have lost their sources of income. The assistance was distributed in cash, amounting to IDR 5 million per family, to support household economic recovery after the disaster.

For victims who died, the Ministry of Social Affairs distributed compensation for their heirs amounting to IDR 15 million per person. To date, preliminary data shows that 1,140 people have received compensation.

"More than 800 compensation for the heirs of deceased victims have been distributed. The remainder will be distributed in stages after the data verification process is complete," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
