Inp.polri.go.id - North Penajam Paser. The Infrastructure Development Task Force for Nusantara Capital City (IKN) has reported that 90% of the supporting infrastructure for the 79th Independence Day ceremony is complete. 

The ceremony is scheduled for 17 August 2024.

Danis H. Sumadilaga, the Head of the Task Force, confirmed on Saturday (27/7/2024) that the ceremonial ground in front of the Presidential Palace is nearly finished. The remaining work includes road paving and landscape arrangement, as reported by antaranews.com.

Accommodation for ceremony participants will be provided in 12 towers of the Civil Servant (ASN) Apartments and part of the Coordinating Ministries complex, located about 200 meters from the ceremony site. The building's first three floors are ready for use.

VIP and VVIP guests will be accommodated at the Nusantara Hotel, which has 200 rooms available if needed.

Key infrastructure includes the Balikpapan-IKN toll road, with various sections nearing completion. This connectivity aims to reduce travel time from Balikpapan to IKN by 1.5 hours, enhancing efficiency for the event.
