Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a stern condemnation on Sunday (1/2/2026) following a series of Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip that killed at least 37 Palestinians on Saturday.
Indonesia is calling on Israel to fully honor the ceasefire agreement established in October 2025, warning that unilateral violations threaten to collapse regional stability.
"Indonesia calls upon Israel, as a party to the ceasefire agreement, to fulfill its obligations and fully respect the accord," the Ministry said in a statement via social media as reported by antaranews.com
The attacks reportedly targeted civilian shelters, refugee tents, a police station, and residential apartments. Since the ceasefire began on 11 October 2025, the Gaza Ministry of Health has recorded 509 deaths and over 1,400 injuries due to recurring Israeli military actions.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that these repeated strikes not only deepen the suffering of civilians but also erode the trust necessary for a sustainable political resolution.
United Nations estimates suggest that reconstruction costs for Gaza's destroyed infrastructure already exceed $70 billion, following a conflict that decimated 90% of the territory's civilian facilities.
