inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
"Indonesia and Russia have agreed to establish strategic cooperation in the field of higher education. I signed this agreement with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, in Saint Petersburg, as part of an effort to strengthen bilateral relations based on knowledge and research," said the Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto on Monday (6/23/2025).
He emphasized that through this agreement, the two countries will encourage the exchange of students, lecturers, and researchers; organize joint research programs; facilitate scholarships; and promote learning of each other's languages and cultures.
Not only that, he continued, the inter-campus cooperation, academic conferences, and innovative cross-country projects are also an important part of this collaboration between the two countries.
"I believe that higher education is a bridge of higher civilization. Hopefully, this collaboration will open up more opportunities for the young generation of both countries to learn, innovate, and contribute to a better future," said Minister Brian.
Brian hopes that this collaboration can be an important milestone in strengthening the research and higher education ecosystem, as well as opening up opportunities for academic mobility across countries.
