Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia won another gold medal at The World Games (TWG) 2025 in Chengdu, China, after winning the men’s open 8-seater 200m dragon boat race at Xinglong Lake Hubin Arena on Sunday (10/8/2025).
“We finished in 45.79 seconds, overcoming strong competition to take the top spot,” the TWG organizers reported, as quoted by antaranews.com. “Thailand came second at 46.32 seconds, followed by Chinese Taipei with 47.27 seconds.”
This is Indonesia’s second gold in dragon boat events, following their victory in the open 8-seater 2,000m pursuit race a day earlier. The team also grabbed silver in the open 8-seater 500m, clocking 2:05.71, or just 0.18 seconds behind Ukraine.
Dragon boat canoeing is one of Indonesia’s strongest events at TWG 2025, which runs from 7 to 17 August 2025, featuring 28 Indonesian athletes in sports including duathlon, karate, kickboxing, climbing, and wushu.
