Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Equestrian Archery Team (IEA) triumphed at the International Masangmuye Championship 2024 in Seoul, South Korea, winning four gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.
Held at the Daegaya Horse Riding Center from October 25-27, the tournament saw athletes from nine countries compete.
Indonesia’s five-athlete team, including Rayyan Abdulkarim, Dzaakir Alhanif, Daim Muflih, M Fadli, and Azwariansyah, dominated categories like Bosa, Raid 234, and Masahe, securing impressive victories over historically strong teams from South Korea and Mongolia, according to antaranews.com.
Rayyan Abdulkarim, age 13, captured two golds and one silver, while teammate Dzaakir Alhanif, also 13, won one gold and two silvers, showcasing Indonesia’s growing strength in the sport.
“This achievement stems from two weeks of rigorous training at Wening Academy, known for producing international champions like Rayyan,” said IEA Head Coach and mentor Marlius Ardianto.
Indonesia’s achievements reflect an increase in gold and silver medals compared to last year’s performance at the same event.
