Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh on Monday (8/12/2025) urged Indonesian citizens in Cambodia to stay vigilant and follow official guidance after fresh clashes erupted along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
The warning came after Thailand launched early-morning airstrikes following a confrontation that killed one Thai soldier and injured four others.
“Indonesians should avoid or limit travel to Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey, which are affected by the conflict,” the Embassy said in a statement as quoted by antaranews.com
KBRI Phnom Penh advised Indonesians to rely on verified updates from Cambodian authorities, trusted media, and the Embassy’s official channels. It also encouraged citizens to register with the Peduli WNI portal to ensure swift communication if assistance is needed. Emergency help is available through the Embassy’s WhatsApp hotlines.
The Embassy said it continues monitoring the situation closely, maintaining communication with Indonesian communities, and adjusting mitigation steps as tensions evolve.
